In Memory of: Dr. Mark Paxton DDS. August 1954- February 2018
After leaving the Airforce Dr. Paxton relocated to Spokane in 1995 where he started his oral surgery practice. Dr. Paxton had a special interest in cleft lip and palate surgery and he touched the lives of many patients and their families through his compassionate and skilled work. He travelled to Colombia and Guatemala for 28 years with Hearts in Motion to perform surgeries for children who would have otherwise gone without any help. Dr. Paxton mentored hundreds of surgical residents, dental students and WSU undergraduate students and also took them to Guatemala on these mission trips. He was also fundamental in building the Inland Dental Expanded Access Clinic in Spokane. In 2016 Dr. Paxton started Northwest Implants and Sleep Dentistry. His vision was to help the Spokane Community and surrounding areas satisfy all of their dental needs in once clinic, especially the dental phobic. His partners Dr. Hauck and Dr. Freuen are committed to carry on with Northwest Implants and Sleep Dentistry and Spokane Oral Surgery with the same dedication that Dr. Paxton had.
